We discovered that celery sucks water up to the leaves by leaving a piece in blue dyed water for a couple days.

We sprouted some kindney beans in jars and once they got big enough the big kids transplanted them into peat pots.

And then there is this plant. My uncle gave it to us a few months ago. We kept it inside and tried to remember to water it. Before long the flowers all fell off and the leaves turned a sickly shade of green. Not knowing what else to do with it, we stuck it outside in the backyard. Well, our backyard sure seems like a great place for nature and it did wonders for the plant. It’s grown bigger and now has lots of beautiful flowers.
