Week 8 of school we learned about the Britain using Layers of Learning, year 2 unit 5.

We found cities, rivers, lakes, and districts on the map of the United Kingdom.

We drew the Union Jack.

Each boy picked a different famous British person (Cameron: William Shakespeare, Fritz: Margaret Thatcher, Adrian: Winston Churchill) and told his brothers about them.

We watched several YouTube videos. We watched one on the changing of the guard at the palace, one of clips from William and Kate’s wedding, one about Big Ben, and one about the Tower of London.

We had an afternoon tea. Cameron made us crumpets, scones, and mint tea.
