Week 11 of school we learned about the Netherlands using Layers of Learning, year 3 unit 7.

We watched lots of YouTube videos about the country.

We looked at pictures from my parents’ 2012 trip to the Netherlands.

We did mapwork.

We learned about their government.

We found the Netherlands on the big wall map.

We tried gouda, edmam, and limberger cheeses.

We made mock delftware using blue sharpies. It turned kind of green in the oven.

We ate kroketen for dinner.
