Week 19 of school we learned about Russia using Layers of Learning, year 2 unit 11.
The boys gave oral reports on famous Russians (Cameron picked Fyodor Dostoyevsky, Fritz chose Vladimir Putin, and Adrian picked Nikita Khrushchev).
Russia was easy to find on the map.
We did mapwork.
We watched videos on the Kremlin and Russian ballet,.
We played with Matryoshka dolls.
We discussed propoganda in general and propoganda about Stalin specifically
The younger two boys played Chess while we watched Peter and the Wolf.
We ate Chicken Kiev, peas, salad, and rolls for dinner.
